151 cases on GST offences recorded in Sabah

A total of 151 cases on Goods and Services Tax (GST) offences were recorded by Sabah Customs since 'Ops GST', to protect the people, was implemented, last month.
Its director, Datuk Dr Janathan Kandok, said most of the offences were failure to issue invoices, displaying prices without including taxes and issuing tax invoices without the prescribed details.
"Kota Kinabalu recorded 92 cases, the highest number of cases compared with other regions.
"It involves the restaurant business (34), retail (34), car park (10), supermarkets (five), services (four), car accessories (two), hardware (two) and phone (one)," he told a press conference at Wisma Kastam, here, Wednesday.
