1MDB full steam ahead on rationalisation plan
The company said it was clear that Pua attempted to undermine the various ongoing investigations into 1MDB through his 'chicken challenge'.
1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) said it would continue 'full steam ahead' with its rationalisation plan to stabilise the company.
1MDB said it would be taking steps to meet debt obligations and deliver its core projects, namely Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), Bandar Malaysia and Edra Energy Bhd.
In a statement today, 1MDB said the company would not be distracted by Member of Parliament Tony Pua's provocative 'chicken challenge', as it is not the appropriate forum to establish the truth.

"1MDB fully acknowledges that Pua raises many legitimate questions. We assure the Malaysian public that the lawful authorities investigating 1MDB have asked the same questions, and more.
"In the interests of transparency, fairness and due process, Arul Kanda has publicly stated that 'to me, what is important is that the investigations must continue, the truth and the facts must be made public by the independent investigators'," 1MDB noted.
