8 facts you need to know about Maxis plan upgrade

LOCAL communications service provider Maxis has upgraded data quotas for over a million of its customers overnight and introduced DataPool feature to allow new ways for them to use the extra data.

According to its CEO, Morten Lundal, this exercise offering up to five times more data is the largest auto-upgrade ever in Malaysia.

“Unlike our competitors, we are not just giving great short-term offers or more data to only new customers,” he added.

These are 8 facts you need to know about Maxis plan upgrade:

1- Over 1 million customers received upgrade automatically, permanently, and for free.

2- The upgraded plans are also offered to Maxis new subscribers.

3- Customers on MaxisONE plans will receive new data quota:

MaxisONE 98 Data before upgrade: 1GB Data after upgrade: 5GB MaxisONE 128 Data before upgrade: 3GB Data after upgrade: 10GB MaxisONE 158 Data before upgrade: 5GB Data after upgrade: 15GB MaxisONE 188 Data before upgrade: 7GB Data after upgrade: 20GB

4- MaxisONE plan customers will also receive another 5GB free every month for video streaming on popular video-on-demand apps.

5- For just RM48 a month, MaxisONE principal line customers will get a MaxisONE line with 5GB data per month and unlimited calls and SMS.

6- MaxisONE allows all data from all lines to be “data pooled” which can be used on any device or with anyone the customer chooses.

7- DataPool is introduced so data can be used more effectively.

8- As part of the MaxisONE World feature, the whole family can now use all of their MaxisONE DataPool while roaming overseas.
