AG Report 2014: Media townhall session to be held Tuesday
A town hall session with the media will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Auditorium Perdana, Angkasapuri, Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) starting 3.15pm.
Following the Auditor-General's Report 2014 Series 1 tabled in Parliament today, the Ministry of Finance also issued feedback reports which provided explanation and latest action taken by head of services on issues reported.
A town hall session with the media will also be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Auditorium Perdana, Angkasapuri, Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) starting 3.15pm.
The town hall session is scheduled to be attended by the Chief Secretary to the Government and heads of the respective ministry's secretariat.
The report aims to assess the extent to which various activities and government projects were planned, performed, monitored efficiently and effectively, as well as the extent to which the original objectives of the programmes, activities or projects were achieved.
It was to assess whether public money (tax payers money) was spent prudently without extravagance and waste, as well as getting the 'best value for money'.
