AirAsia, AirAsia X reschedule flights due to typhoon Chan-Hom

Low-cost carrier AirAsia and its long-haul affiliate AirAsia X have rescheduled several flights departing Saturday due to Typhoon Chan-Hom.
AirAsia said the flights that have been rescheduled are Kuala Lumpur-Shanghai (vice versa) including flight D7331 which is departing Sunday, Kuala Lumpur-Hangzhou (vice versa) and Kota Kinabalu-Hangzhou (vice versa).
"All affected guests will be notified of their new flight timing and the options available to them," it said in a statement Saturday.
It said according to published reports, Chinese authorities have cancelled hundreds of flights as a strong typhoon headed toward the country's southeastern coast, Saturday.
