AirAsia bags 'Asia's Leading Low Cost Airline' recognition for third consecutive year

For the third consecutive year, AirAsia bagged 'Asia’s Leading Low Cost Airline’ after it (the company) clinched the highest votes from travel professionals and industry players from around the region surpassing other nominees in the category like Air India Express, Firefly, Go Air, JetKonnect, Jetstar Airways and Nok Air.
AirAsia India chief executive officer, Mittu Chandilya represented the AirAsia Group at the World Travel Awards (Asia & Australasia) Gala 2014 which was held in New Delhi, India yesterday.
“We are ecstatic to retain the top spot in this category since it was created in 2012. It has been an exhilarating and rewarding journey for AirAsia throughout the years and we are happy that our guests around the region recognise the effort we put into creating a great travel experience for everyone," said Tony Fernandes, AirAsia Group Chief Executive Officer.
"Special thanks to our 15,000-strong AirAsia Allstars throughout the region, who have been instrumental in the success of AirAsia across all fronts," he added.
AirAsia was also named Asia’s Best and World’s Best Low Cost Airline by Skytrax for six consecutive years starting 2009.
