AirAsia Group expects its regional loyalty programme, AirAsia BIG, to be subscribed by more than two million people within the next one year.
Group Chief Executive Officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said the loyalty programme, which was soft-launched in late 2011, has already secured 452,000 members so far.
He said the BIG Loyalty Programme currently has members from 150 countries, including Asia, Africa and Europe.
"Many AirAsia travellers had refused to fly with us frequently, just because we do not have a loyalty programme.
"With the launching of BIG, I am sure our load factor would improve five per cent, given that the loyalty programme will be launched in all our branches," Fernandes told reporters after the launching of BIG here Thursday.
He added that BIG is expected to be the best airline loyalty programme in the Asean region.
AirAsia BIG is a fast-track rewards programme where you can earn BIG points for free AirAsia flight tickets.
The points can be earned using AirAsia, Tune Hotels and AirAsia Megastor
