AirAsia, Malindo Air offers 54,000 extra seats for 'Balik Kampung'

AirAsia and Malindo Air are offering 54,000 airline seats to cater for "balik kampung" during this Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
AirAsia said it had added 50,000 seats since May 26 to popular routes such as Kuala Lumpur-Kota Bharu, Johor Bahru-Kuching, Johor Bahru-Miri, and vice-versa while international routes included Kuala Lumpur-Palembang, Padang and Solo.
The low-cost airline also said extra frequencies had been added to routes such as Langkawi, Singapore and Chiang Mai for those seeking getaway during the festive season, it said in a statement.
Travel period for the seats offered by AirAsia starts from July 24 until Aug 4, 2014.
Meanwhile hybrid airline, Malindo Air said it had mounted additional 4,000 seats for its domestic destinations with travelling period that starts from July 23 until Aug 4.
