Al Rajhi Bank Malaysia appoints new chairman
Nik Norzrul Thani, who was previously acting Chairman, has served as a board member of ARBM since 2006.
Al Rajhi Bank Malaysia (ARBM) today announced the appointment of Datuk Dr Nik Norzrul Thani Nik Hassan Thani as its new Chairman, effective July 13, 2016.
The unit of Al Rajhi Bank, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said Nik Norzrul Thani, who was previously acting Chairman, has served as a board member of ARBM since 2006.
"He brings with him a wealth of experience with over 35 years of local and international experience in the legal, academic and Islamic banking sectors.
"In his role, Datuk Dr Nik advises clients on a wide range of legal matters from banking advisory to Islamic Finance," it said in a statement.
ARBM CEO Steve Chen said as Chairman, Nik Norzrul Thani's valuable perspective, judgement and counsel will bring continuity and ensure the bank continues to execute its defined strategic initiatives over the next few years.
