Annuar Musa reappointed as MARA chairman

Tan Sri Annuar Musa has been reappointed as Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) chairman today after his contract ended on July 17, after it was approved by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
The announcement was made by Rural and Regional Develompent Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in a statement on Wednesday.
Ismail also announced the appointment of Padang Besar MP Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin as Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (Risda) Chairman, starting September 1.
"I believed these appointments would help the ministry in carrying out our policies and plans in order to achieve the country's objective of transformation," he said.
Annuar's contract had ended after holding the position for two years since July 19, 2013.
The 59-year-old Ketereh MP took over the position from Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh who previously held the post since 2008.
As for Zahidi, the 54-year-old holds a Master's Degree in Political Science from the Irish International University as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Management from the Northern California Global University.
Meanwhile, in commenting on his reappointment, Annuar promised to continue managing MARA will full integrity.
"This morning I came over to the Prime Minister's Office to accept my reappointment letter.
"I see this as a huge responsibility and I will make sure that MARA is managed under full integrity and fulfills the people's interests.
"I thank both the Rural and Regional Development Minister and the Prime Minister," said Annuar in a Facebook post today.
