Apple has released a system software update aimed at fixing a flaw in its OS X security system which left millions of its users exposed to a security breach.
The company acknowledged that an attacker could “capture or modify data” on Apple applications even though it is supposed to be encrypted.
Last week, Apple released a new software for its iPhone, iPad, and iPod users to help protect themselves against identity thefts.
However, Apple discovered that the same problem also affected its laptops and desktop computers which used the OS X security system.
The problem was first spotted on Apple's mobile devices which run the iOS 7 operating system.
According to analysts, the security problem for OS X existed a couple of months ago, however no reports were made regarding the issue.
