Prasarana Malaysia Bhd's former CEO Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar denied that the Arafah-Mina Metro System project had anything to do with 1Malaysia Development Bhd's (1MDB) former partnership with PetroSaudi International.

The group had won the 807 million riyal project under his stewardship, said Shahril yesterday.

His statement went against Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah who on Wednesday attributed the win by Prasarana to the strategic partnership 1MDB had with PetroSaudi.

Ahmad Husni had said the partnership had helped Prasarana win the project.

He made the statement in a live interview telecasted by TV1.
