Astro expects its 1.1 mln customers to sign up for new service

Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd expects its 1.1 million customers to subscribe to its new service, Astro B.yond Internet Protocol television (IPTV), which it will offer in collaboration with Maxis Bhd.

Astro chief executive officer, Datuk Rohana Rozhan, said the new service will enable Astro Beyond IPTV customers to enjoy the best value in entertainment anytime, anywhere and on any device.

"Astro intends to serve its customers better. We are targeting the 1.1 million customers to subscribe to the new service," she told media briefing here today.

Maxis chairman, Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda, said Maxis was committed to take customers' viewing experience to a whole new level by providing the new service.

"We look forward to continue offering our customers more varieties when it comes to things that matter to them," he said.
