Brahim shares up after sealing second extension agreement with MAS
BAC has a 25-year contract with MAS, expiring in 2028, to serve meals and related services at the KL International Airport and Penang International Airport.
Brahim's Holdings Bhd shares rose this morning after its subsidiary, Brahim's Airline Catering Sdn Bhd (BAC), signed a second extension agreement (2nd EA) with Malaysian Airline System Bhd (MAS) to facilitate documentation of a New Catering Agreement (NCA).
BAC is 70 per cent-owned by Brahim's.
At 12.30 pm, Brahim's shares were up 2.5 sen to 98.5 sen with 1.13 million shares changing hands.
Last week, the two parties agreed to extend the NCA cut-off date from April 30 to May 10, after entering into a settlement agreement on Feb 26 to provide for the settlement of certain disputes and the negotiation for an NCA to replace Brahim's existing catering agreement with MAS.
BAC has a 25-year contract with MAS, expiring in 2028, to serve meals and related services at the KL International Airport and Penang International Airport.
BAC currently serves 37 airlines with MAS as its biggest customer. The agreement was part of MAS' RM6 billion Recovery Plan announced by Khazanah Nasional Bhd in August 2014.
