Vida Beauty Sdn Bhd founder Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman or better known as Dr Vida, is expected to be charged today for charges under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act 2014.
She is expected to be charged in the Ipoh Sessions Court for avoiding GST amounting to RM4 million.
Sources said the cosmetic millionaire is expected to face about 32 charges under the Act.
A source close to Vida told Berita Harian that Vida Beauty was already registered with the Customs Department but have not paid GST.
The source also said that Vida was disappointed that the no one in the department had informed the matter to her in person and she had only found out about it through the media.
Vida who is well known for her brands Pamoga and Qu Puteh, had expressed her intention to sponsor the Kelantan football team (KAFA).
