The Employees Provident Fund (EPF), has no plans to dispose its 49 per cent stake in highway operator, PLUS Malaysia Bhd, as the investment in the company was reaping good returns for the pension fund.
Saying that there was also no suitors for the equity stake, EPF Chief Executive Officer Datuk Shahril Ridza Ridzuan said the fund and UEM Group Bhd, which held the remaining 51 per cent stake in PLUS, had invested substantially in expanding its network especially in the Klang Valley.
"I think there has been a number of media reports and I guess the party you mentioned has gone to the press citing that they are interested, but we have not received any kind of offer or any kind of interest from anyone, " he told reporters after the signing of a partnership agreement with the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation (ITC-ILO) here today.
Shahril was commenting on corporate player Tan Sri Abu Sahid Mohamad's intention to take over PLUS Malaysia.
