According to PNB Group Chairman Tan Sri Dr Zeti Aziz, amid the uncertain economic situation due to COVID-19 at the moment, more and more new and existing investors will be looking for information on how they can make wise decisions.
She said during Niaga AWANI's exclusive interview with Rizal Zulkapli that this can be seen especially when all walks of life, investors and institutions face difficulties in anticipating what will happen after this.
"This is a difficult period for all.
"So at this point, every information you can get may be important for you to make your decision.
"What we want to do is give them information to make better financial, investment decisions.
"We understand that in the current situation people use their savings to go through this difficult period. So it may be difficult to invest and save.
"But they need to look past this pandemic. This is because every time the MCO (Movement Control Order) is reduced, the economy recovers, ” she said.
He added that the Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia has proven successful after 20 years with an increase in investors in 14 PNB investment products.
According to Zeti, during this period, PNB's Assets Under Management (AUM) increased from RM61 billion in 2000 to RM315 billion as of September 2020.
