FGV announces new chairman

Azhar takes over the post from Tan Sri Isa Samad who is being investigated for graft.
Datuk Azhar Abdul Hamid is the new Felda Global Ventures Holdings (FGV) chairman, replacing Tan Sri Isa Samad.
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who made the announcement, said Azhar's appointment will take place immediately.
Azhar was formerly the Sime Darby Berhad CEO, Mass Rapid Transit Corp (MRT Corp) CEO, Tradewinds Corp chairman and Malakoff Corp managing director, among others.
Azhar's appointment follows the dismissal of Isa a few months back.
Isa is currently being investigated for graft.
