FGV keeping mum on 'new CEO' claim

Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) did not deny or confirm a news report which claimed that it would be appointing a new CEO soon.
In a brief WhatsApp reply to Astro AWANI today, the company said an official announcement would be made if there were any recent developments.
"We are not in a position to comment further, if there are any updates, an official announcement will be made," a company spokesman said.
Today, The Star Online reported that FGV's current CEO, Datuk Mohd Emir Mavani Abdullah, would be replaced by Datuk Zakaria Arshad.
Mohd Emir, who held the post since January 2013, currently holds the position on a monthly contract.
Zakaria is currently the head of FGV's downstream cluster, since Jan 1, 2014. He was previously the CEO of Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd.
