Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri says the Sarawak state government had conducted negotiations with the federal government before setting up Petros.
She also added, Petros would not commence operations alone.
"This is a new thing, despite the fact that we have the skills because many of them (Sarawakians) have served in the Peninsula before.
"Therefore we believe there will be cooperation between the federal government, through Petronas, with the state government, through this new company," she said.
