Honda Malaysia extends precautionary update to another 143,970 units
The precautionary effort is to also enable the replacement of the driver front airbag inflator with newly produced inflators.
Honda Malaysia has extended its precautionary update to another 143,970 units of its models.
The models affected in the latest update are the City (2006-2012 Year-Manufactured), Civic (2006-2011 YM), Civic Hybrid (2007-2011 YM), CR-V (2007-2011YM), Insight (2011-2012 YM), Jazz (2009-2012 YM) and Stream (2007-2012 YM).
"This proactive measure is to ensure customer safety and we deeply regret the inconvenience caused to customers.
"The precautionary effort is to also enable the replacement of the driver front airbag inflator with newly produced inflators," the carmaker said in a statement.
Honda also said that all current selling models are unaffected.
"The replacement works will be carried out once the parts are ready, and the costs of parts and labour will be borne by Honda Malaysia," it added.
