Honda Malaysia recalls 419 units of Civic Type R over Takata airbags

Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd is recalling 419 units of its Civic Type R model for Takata front passenger airbag inflator replacement.

In a statement today, Honda Malaysia said the company was extending its proactive measures to ensure customers' safety, which was its priority.

The letter will be sent and replacement works will be carried out once the parts are ready and Honda Malaysia will bear the cost of parts and labour charges related to the recall.

Honda Malaysia said that all its current selling models were not affected and that it would continue to uphold transparency and stringent controls to ensure customer safety.
