One thing is for sure, iPhone lovers are impatiently waiting for the debut of iPhone 6 said to carry new features that will satisfy its user.
According to a report by Nikkei Business Daily, iPhone 6 is expected to come in two versions with a 4.7 or 5.5 inch screen, both bigger than the current four-inch panel.
The report which did not quote any source also mentioned that US-based Apple had ordered its higher-resolution liquid crystal display screens from Japanese electronics giant Sharp, Japan Display and South Korea's LG Display.
According to previous reports, Apple plans to equip its next iPhone with a sapphire crystal glass display cover that would make its screen virtually unbreakable.
9to5Mac was the first to put forth this hypothesis, reporting on an agreement between Apple and GT Advanced to produce up to 200 million of the displays in question.
Compared to traditional glass, sapphire crystal is far more resistant to breaking or scratches.
This makes the materials particularly suitable should Apple decide to equip its next iPhone with a slightly curved screen, as internet rumors have suggested over the past few weeks.
