According to Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Chairman, Datuk Professor Mohd Faiz Abdullah, on account of global economic easing, the budget is counter-cylical with fiscal discipline to be maintained while injecting adequate economic boosters to generate growth, thus striking a balance between fiscal and growth objectives.
“A record spending budget notwithstanding, kudos to the Prime Minister for continuing with the MADANI government’s structural reform agenda," he said.
Budget 2025, with an allocation of RM421 billion, is the largest in the country's history, strategically aligned with the MADANI Economy framework.
It focuses on attracting high-quality investments, creating job opportunities, implementing projects for the people's well-being, and ensuring they are able to purchase essential basic necessities and services.
