The luxury car market segment in Malaysia remains healthy, said Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Kuala Lumpur managing director, Datuk Michael Ong.
He said Malaysia was a well-established passenger car market and the luxury segment was healthy as all the brands were represented here.
"We can see there is a promising future for us," he told reporters after launching the new Rolls-Royce model, Wraith, here today.
Ong said with the launch of Wraith and a promising economic outlook in Malaysia, the company would be able to exceed its average sales of 20 units annually.
"We have received pre-orders for this model and we expect to deliver them to the customers in the fourth quarter because when you place an order, it will take five months to make it," he said.
He said the company was still negotiating with the government on the final price of this model.
In Malaysia, the pricing for Wraith starts from RM1.3 million (without taxes and other charges).
This model is powered by V12 engine married to eight-speed automatic transmission and it can achieve the 0-100km/h sprint in 4.6 seconds.
