Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) today announced a three-year global partnership with English football club, Liverpool FC.
Through the agreement, Malaysia Airlines will become Liverpool FC's official global airline partner.
According to MAB chief executive office Peter Bellew, this strategic partnership will strengthen Malaysia Airlines' branding through brand awareness on static boards, LED screens during every game at Anfield Stadium, as well as promotions on Liverpool's website, publications, social media and official merchandises.
Besides branding opportunities, Malaysia Airlines also has access to Liverpool players who would act as the airline's ambassadors.
"MAB allocated less than 10 percent of our advertising and promotional budget for this cooperation," said Bellew in a Malaysia Airlines-Liverpool FC joint press conference on Tuesday.
In conjunction with the partnership, Malaysia Airlines will be offering a two-way promotional fare for flights from Kuala Lumpur to London at RM2,499.
The promotion period begins October 11, 2016 to October 17, 2016 for flights from October 13, 2016 to March 31, 2017.
