Malindo Air daily flight to Ho Chi Minh City starts today

The daily services to Vietnam mark the airline's tenth country in its expanding international network.

Promotional fares for Kuala Lumpur-Ho Chi Minh City starts from RM129 for Economy Class and RM399 for Business Class one-way all inclusive.

All fares include perks such as free baggage allowance, in-flight entertainment, a meal and light refreshments.

CEO of Malindo Air, Chandran Rama Muthy said, “We believe our new service will have much to offer to both the business and leisure travellers. Chandran added that selecting Ho Chi Minh City as a new destination was in line with the airline’s international expansion plan. According to Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Malaysian tourist arrivals to Vietnam were over 329,000 people in 2013, increasing to more than 339,000 in 2014 and 300,000 in the first 11 months of 2015.

On the other hand, Tourism Malaysia statistics recorded that there were 177,000 visitors from Vietnam between January to September in 2015. Malindo Air is also playing its key role of spurring the tourism economy in South East Asia. At the same time, the new route will help boost the airline's presence in the robust South East Asian market.”

He also said, “Ho Chi Minh City is our first destination in Indo-China.

The city is well known for its key tour spots among Malaysian visitors such as primarily national scenic spots, pagodas, and unique cultural life and cuisine of Vietnam.

Additionally, Vietnam has many scenic destinations recognised by UNESCO.”

The narrow-body Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a seat capacity of 162, with 12 Business Class and 150 Economy Class seats, will be deployed on the two services.

The flight time between Kuala Lumpur and Colombo will take 3 hrs 25mins. The time taken for the Kuala Lumpur - Ho Chi Minh City journey will be 1hr 55 mins from the carrier’s main hub in KLIA2.
