Hybrid airline Malindo Air has signed an interline agreement with Thai Lion Air which would benefit passengers connecting between Don Muang International Airport, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur International Airport and other destinations in both Malaysia and Thailand, as well as en route to other destinations in the region.
Effective Dec 10, 2013, passengers can book a single combined e-ticket for Malindo Air and Thai Lion Air flights, including the convenience of checking baggage through to the final destination.
Malindo Air Chief Executive Officer Chandran Rama Muthy said the agreement with Thai Lion Air will allow the airline to offer passengers with better connectivity and flexibility throughout Thailand.
"This is certainly our first interline agreement providing accessibility to an Asean country," he said in a statement here, Tuesday.
Thai Lion Air now serves two international routes, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, as well as Thailand's second largest domestic route, Bangkok-Chiang Mai.
Promotional one-way fares from RM105 all-inclusive from Kuala Lumpur to Don Muang International Airport, Bangkok are available for booking now for travel from Dec 19, 2013 onwards.
