Malindo mounts extra flights for coming year-end, school holidays
Malindo Air, Malaysia's hybrid airline, will increase flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Kuching, Langkawi, Penang and as well as from Subang to Penang.
The airline said the additional flights, between Nov 22 and Dec 31, would meet the demand for services during the forthcoming year-end and school holidays.
Chief Executive Officer Chandran Rama Muthy said the airline had begun offering 50 per cent discount for children below 12 years old travelling on all Malindo Air flights.
Booking for this special children's discount is available from now until November 17, 2013 and the travelling period is from now until January 31, 2014.
"Tickets for the holidays are selling fast. Year-end breaks to the likes of Langkawi and Penang are proving popular.
"We are mounting the extra flights to meet demand and travellers will purchase tickets for their family holidays at low fares," he said in a statement.
Malindo Air currently flies 14 weekly flights from KLIA to Kuching; 14 weekly flights from KLIA to Langkawi; and seven weekly flights from Subang to Langkawi; 14 weekly flights from KLIA to Penang and 28 weekly flights from Subang to Penang.
