Maxis Bhd reported a higher profit after tax of RM494 million in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2014, up by 2.9 per cent from RM480 million registered in the previous quarter.
Service revenue remained steady at RM2.05 million, the company said in a statement today.
Chief Executive Officer Morten Lundal said the company is progressing well with its transformation journey.
"Our Q3 numbers were broadly stable, but with operational drivers showing an upward trend. We see many more opportunities to create positive surprises that make the customers feel special and create 'Like' moments.
"We already have a very competitive network serving a majority of the population as well as leading the long-term evolution (LTE) population coverage in the country," he added, in a statement.
The integrated communications service provider has invested RM337 million in capital expenditure the third quarter and is on track to spend more than RM1 billion for 2014.
Maxis also announced a third interim dividend of eight sen per share.
