MSC Group Chief Operating Officer retires

Ir Mohamed Yakub Ismail has retired as Group Chief Operating Officer of Malaysia Smelting Corp Bhd (MSC), effective Dec 31, 2016.
MSC said Mohd Yakub joined the group in 2002 as Manager, Mining Operation, at its then newly-acquired subsidiary, PT Koba Tin and served until 2005.
"In 2006, he assumed the role of General Manager at Rahman Hydraulic Tin Sdn Bhd (RHT), another subsidiary of the group," MSC said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
In subsequent year, Mohamed Yakub was promoted to Group Chief Operating Officer, Mining, at MSC while continuing to remain as the Senior General Manager of RHT, it added.
At 3.30pm, MSC was three sen lower at RM3.90 with 73,400 shares changing hands. - BERNAMA
