Najib arrives in Bali for APEC Summit

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak arrived here on Sunday night, to attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders Summit scheduled on Monday and Tuesday.
The special aircraft which ferried the prime minister and wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, arrived at the Ngurah Rai International Airport near Denpasar.
They were greeted upon arrival by Indonesian Education and Culture Minister Mohammad Nuh, who acted as minister in attendance.
Also present at the airport to receive them were Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin and Malaysian Ambassador-Designate to Indonesia Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim.
Najib is leading the Malaysian delegation to the summit.
Several leaders from APEC member countries are expected to attend the summit, including China's President Xi Jinping and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
United States President Barack Obama has confirmed that he would not attend the forum's summit. He will be represented by Secretary of State John Kerry.
On the sidelines of the summit, Najib is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with his counterpart from New Zealand, John Key, and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott on Monday.
This year's APEC Summit is themed, 'Towards Resilient Asia-Pacific, Engine of Global Growth'.
Najib is also scheduled to attend the Trans-Pacific Partnership Leaders Meeting after the APEC Summit on Tuesday.
