Naza Premira upbeat about Vespa Primavera sales

Naza Premira Sdn Bhd aims to secure between 30 and 40 percent of their Vespa's sales from the newly launched Vespa Primavera, its General Manager, Farouk Faisal said.

"We're expecting a little less than 1,000 units of Primavera to be sold by the end of the year, but it depends on how fast our dealers come on board.

"Our dealers are starting to invest in Vespa showrooms. For now, we already have nine and are expecting about 20 or more by the end of the year," he told reporters after launching the new Vespa here, Thursday.

Naza's overall sales from the Vespa segment contributes about 10 percent to its two-wheel vehicle unit.

Naza Premira is the sole and official importer and distributor of Vespa scooters in Malaysia.

Farouk said the company aims to sell the new two-wheeler to low, middle and high-income buyers.

Originating from Piaggio, Vespa Primavera has been launched in Vietnam and Thailand.

Dating back to the post-war Italy in 1968, Vespa Primavera has brought a breath of fresh air to a changing world in the form of stylish mobility. It carries a price tag of RM11,888 a unit.
