Malaysian actress Neelofa is among the 300 honorees of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2017 list.
Neelofa is involved in several business ventures, including Muslim women's clothing brand, "Naelofar Hijab".
The second annual list includes 30 honorees for each of the 10 categories in it.
Neelofa or Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor, 28, founder and director of NH Prima International Sdn Bhd, is placed under the Retail & E-commerce category.
The Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2017 list, features 300 young innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders who are challenging conventions and making an impact in today's world.
All under 30 years old, the honorees were selected by judges who are some of the most accomplished and acclaimed in their respective fields.
Besides Retail and E-commerce, the other categories include Consumer Technology, Enterprise Technology, Entertainment & Sports, The Arts, Finance & Venture Capital, Industry, Manufacturing & Energy, Healthcare & Science, Social Entrepreneurs and Media, Marketing & Advertising.
"This year's Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list highlights the diversity of talent in this vast region, with 300 impressive young entrepreneurs from all walks of life pushing the boundaries of innovation," said Senior Digital Editor, Asia at Forbes Media, Rana Wehbe in a statement here.
"It is fascinating to see how these millennials are using technology to disrupt their industries, empower their communities and overcome cultural barriers.
"Notably, this year's list showcases a number of women in Asia who are advocates for social change, defying stereotypes and prejudice to set a positive example for what women in this part of the world can achieve," she added.
Alongside Neelofa in the 30 Under 30 Asia list is also India's Kavin Bharti Mittal, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Hike Messenger, Josiah Humphrey & Mark McDonald (Australia, Cofounders of Appster), Suboi (Vietnam, Hip Hop artist) Liu Wen ( China, International Supermodel), Chenyao Zhou (China, Partner at Longling Capital), Gibran Huzaifah Amsi El Farizy (Indonesia, Founder of eFishery), Yuki Shimahara (Japan, Founder of LPixel Inc), Daroath Phav (Cambodia, Director of WaterSHED), Hyungcheol Lim & Goeun Choe (South Korea, Cofounders of Gameberry).
The criteria for honorees making the list includes leadership and disruption in their field, entrepreneurial mind-set and results, as well as the likelihood of changing their field over the next half-century.
According to Forbes, more than 1,200 submissions were received, but only 300 applicants made the final cut.
