New coins to commemorate M'sia-China 40th anniversary
BANK NEGARA: The face value of the gold coin is RM100 and will be sold at RM1,800 apiece.
Bank Negara Malaysia issued commemorative coins in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations.
The coins will be on sale to the public on June 27.
The coins are in the form of Gold Proof Coins and Coloured Silver Proof Coins and Nordic Gold Brilliant Uncirculated Coins, Bank Negara said in a statement Saturday.
The face value of the gold coin is RM100 and will be sold at RM1,800 apiece, with only 500 pieces minted.
The face value of the coloured silver coin is RM10 and the selling price is RM200 a piece with a total of 2,000 pieces minted.
The face value of the Nordic gold coin is RM1 and will be sold at RM10 each with 25,000 pieces minted, the statement said.
These commemorative coins are also available in a 'Set of 3 in 1' and a 'Set of 2 in 1' which are priced at RM2,100 and RM250, respectively.
The coins will be sold at the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery and regional offices located in Penang and Johor Baharu as well as the branches in Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
