Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd's (ETCM) newly-launched sedan, Nissan Almera, has received over 7,000 bookings within two weeks of its launch.

In a statement yesterday, ETCM said the customers were attracted to the affordability of the car, which cost from RM66,800, and its upscale technology features and spaciousness that were usually found in
premium vehicles.

The other factors included its economical fuel consumption, 10,000km service intervals and affordable, easily attainable spare parts, it said.

Its executive director, Datuk Dr Ang Bon Beng, said the positive reception towards the car was a strong testament of Malaysians' continuous trust and confidence in the company's cars, products and services.

"The group has expanded its operations at its facility in Serendah with more production shifts and extra manpower to meet the market demand," he said.
