Petronas Dagangan Bhd (PDB) says its FMDrive competition, which aims to inculcate safe driving among its service delivery partners, shows it commitment to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE).
As driving oil tankers is one of the highest risk activities in the company's daily operations, the drivers are provided frequent and stringent training to ensure their own safety and that of other road users, PDB Supply and Distribution Division head Mohd Shobri Abu Bakar told Bernama at the fourth annual FMDrive at Autocity here Sunday.
The event, a platform for Aspiring Professional Haulers (APHs) and suppliers to get to know one another better, tested drivers on their figure-eight driving manoeuvre and parallel parking skills with a semi-articulated truck, he added.
