Poh Kong Holdings Bhd plans to open between three to five new outlets this year, said its Chairman/Group Managing Director, Datuk Eddie Choon Yee Seiong.
Speaking to reporters after the company's annual general meeting here today, he said the investment for each outlet would be about RM3 million.
To date, two locations, Seremban and Kota Damansara, had been identified, he said, adding, the company have a total of 107 outlets at present.
On new markets, Choon said the company planned to expand to Sabah and Sarawak in three years time.
"We are still looking for the right places to open outlets there, especially in terms of malls, that have good market potential for jewellery lovers," he added.
On the company's growth, he said Poh Kong hoped to match last year's performance, backed by steady demand for jewellery accessories.
"Poh Kong is confident of a higher level of consumer spending due to Kuala Lumpur being ranking the world fourth best shopping destination by CNN Travel and second best for shopping in the Asia-Pacific by Globe Shopper Index," he added
