Proton Holdings Bhd today announced it has expanded the seven-day operations of selected service centres in its intensifying efforts to improve after-sales services.
In a statement here today, the national car maker said nine of its service centres will be providing the seven full-day services inclusive of repairs and warranty claims effective this month.
An additional 14 service centres will follow suit from Oct 1, with four more service centres to start from Dec 1.
The expansion to seven-day operations is aimed at reducing customers' waiting time to service their vehicle and providing additional flexibility for customers to send their cars for servicing and maintenance during the weekends.
Chief Executive Officer Datuk Ahmad Fuaad Kenali said the selected service centres have extended the opening hours for Sunday to 5pm from noon previously.
"More importantly, we have also enabled warranty claims to be processed during weekends as opposed to only weekdays previously.
"This is part of our drive to provide more convenience to our customers especially for those who are unable to take time off from work during week day," he said.
Proton has also implemented price revisions for selected parts such as the turbocharger, electronic control unit and transmission assemblies.
"The parts involved in the price review will see about a 12 to 30 per cent reduction in parts prices," it added.
