Proton Holdings Bhd, in collaboration with its distributor in Chile, Andes Motor, has opened its first 3S showroom in Santiago.
Located in Irarrazaval, 15 minutes from the city centre, the 3S outlet is managed by Andes Motor, which is also a subsidiary of the Kaufmann Group, a leading distributor of buses, trucks and luxury cars in Chile.
Proton Transformation Director/ International Sales Head Mohd Khalid Yusof said the 3S centre would provide sales and after sales services to customers.
"We have three service bays behind the showroom which can be further expanded if necessary.
"The 350 metre-square workshop can accommodate three to four cars to be serviced simultaneously and has four dedicated parking bays for customers," he said in a statement today.

He said the network is expected to grow with the addition of left-hand drive Exora and Saga models in the near future.
The showroom was opened on the same day with the launch of Proton Prevé at Plaza Oeste, one of Santiago's popular malls, on May 28.
Following the sales launch of Proton Prevé in Chile, Proton will introduce the Exora and Saga in November 2016.
The Proton Prevé models, namely Prevé 1.6 Standard MT, Prevé 1.6 Executive MT and Prevé 1.6 Premium CVT are available for the Chilean market.
In its strive to promote Proton models in Chile, Proton presented a Proton Exora to the Malaysian Embassy in Santiago.
Malaysian Ambassador to Chile Datuk Dr Mohamad Rameez received the MPV on behalf of the embassy at the launch of the Irarrazaval showroom.
