The Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association (Rehda) is optimistic of registering RM300 million in sales at the final of a two-series Malaysia Property Exposition (MAPEX) 2016 next month.
Organising Chairman Datuk Ng Seing Liong said despite the current sluggish market, the exhibition would still be offering a wide range of properties from more than 50 developers to enable potential buyers to have more choices.
"The first edition, which took place in April this year, recorded RM300 million in sales and we expect sales from the upcoming edition to be as much as last year's," he told a press conference on the exhibition here today.
The last edition of MAPEX 2016 will be held at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre on Oct 21-23.
Ng also said Rehda would also be organising its first Bumi MAPEX at the Shah Alam Convention Centre on Oct 7-9.
"The Bumi MAPEX is part of our efforts to gather available units allotted for Bumiputeras with attractive discounts and help them own their dream homes," he said.
Ng said to date, 21 developers have confirmed their participation in the exhibition. -- BERNAMA
