SapuraKencana Petroleum's unit wins US$40 mil contract

SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Crest Tender Rigs Pte Ltd, has been awarded a US$40 million contract by PTTEP International Limited (PTTEPI) to supply tender assist rig services for the tender assist rig SKD T-9.

A tender assist rig is a cost effective drilling rig used in deepwater areas which can speed up drilling operations.

PTTEPI, a Thailand-based petroleum exploration and production services company, intends to use SKD T-9 for its Zawtika development drilling campaign offshore Myanmar, SapuraKencana said in a statement today.
