KUALA LUMPUR: Sedania Innovator Bhd's 51 per cent-owned unit, Offspring Inc Sdn Bhd has expanded its footprint into five new countries, namely, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova, following the launch of Offspring's web store in Russia.
In a statement today, Sedania said Offspring is a health technology company that offers early child care products such as eco-friendly baby diapers, biodegradable wet wipes, baby care essentials and household products that use non-toxic, organic and plant-based ingredients.
It added that based on the annual birth rates of these five newly-ventured countries -- estimated to be at 790,000 newborns and rising -- Offspring is expected to generate RM26 million of sales per annum over the next few years.
Today, Offspring is present in 17 countries across North America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
According to Sedania, Russia is one of the company's top international partners, recording steady sales growth of over 250 per cent since 2019.
The company also sees Kazakhstan -- the largest country in Central Asia -- as one of the promising markets for Offspring due to a notable rise in its overall income levels, with the annual income per capita at close to US$27,000 in 2020.
Sedania founder and managing director Datuk Azrin Mohd Noor said demand for high quality premium products is increasing in Russia's neighbouring countries, and the country is at the forefront in delivering them to the consumers.
"Within a short span of time this year, Offspring has made its foray into 10 new countries, and counting.
"Our exciting upcoming expansion will allow us to tap into new key markets for the remainder of 2021, giving a promising outlook for Offspring for 2022," he said.
