Strategic partner for Proton to be finalised after Feb 15

The prospective strategic partner for national car manufacturer, Proton Holdings Bhd (Proton), will be made known after Feb 15, says Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani.
He said Feb 15 was the deadline set for proposals to be submitted by foreign companies keen on becoming Proton's strategic partner.
"After the closing date, a decision will be made soon after vetting the various proposals," he told reporters after a gathering with the community in Cheras, near here, today.
Johari said besides companies from China, European companies have also shown keen interest to become Proton's strategic partner. - BERNAMA
