Syed Ali resigns from Bright Packaging Industry

Datuk Seri Syed Ali Abbas Alhabshee has resigned his position as Chairman at Bright Packaging Industry Bhd.

"His resignation was due to numerous and unavoidable commitments," the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia Monday.

Syed Ali, 55, was appointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director on Feb 21, 2013 and redesignated an Independent Non-Executive Director on Oct 11, 2013.

Subsequently, he was redesignated as an Independent Non-Executive Chairman on Feb 28, 2014. He is currently the Senior Independent Director. -- Bernama
