He said the increase in deposits during that period was recorded at RM3 billion per year, thus indicating Muslims' high level of confidence in the agency.

According to TH's records, there were 111,329 new depositors between January and April this year.

"This development is very positive from the economic aspect, so the public (Muslims) should have no doubts about saving through TH. The main benefit for its depositors, besides performing the Hajj, is that their savings are fully guaranteed," said Adi Azuan.

He was speaking to reporters after attending the Perlis state government administration's monthly assembly, organised by TH here today.

Meanwhile, Adi Azuan urged Muslims to register for the Hajj early, regardless of their age, to minimise the problem of a long wait for their turn to perform the pilgrimage.

He said the two million Muslims who had registered with TH in this country would have to wait for 92 years and could reach 100 years and longer if they did not register early to perform the Hajj.

Adi Azuan said Muslims should also make full use of the TH Community Mobile Service to ease sorting out related matters such as at the TH branch office counters.

The TH Community uses the Westar Maxus v80.2.5 Diesel Turbo vans equipped with various sophisticated devices. It is among the initiatives taken to make TH service people-centred through the Mobile Community Transformation Centre programme for people in the rural areas.

After Kedah and Selangor, the TH Community will be in Perlis for a month from today before going to other states.
