Tabung Haji (TH) has not announce its dividend because it has not received approval of the Auditor-General.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom said TH would announce the payment of dividend once the approval was given.
"Let the AG make a decision first," he said while delivering a talk entitled "Kelahiran Rasul Membawa Rahmat Kepada Ummah" at Seri Perdana here, Wednesday.
TH has become a hot topic of discussion on the social media relating to the payment of dividend to depositors and Bank Negara Malaysia's (BNM) note on reserves.
Jamil Khir said TH did not need a large reserve because it is unlike banks which provided financial loans.
"TH does not come under Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) but BNM still monitor its cash flow and give out reminders," he added.
Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tan Sri Ismee Ismail said TH would announce the bonus in early next month after going through internal and interim auditing.
