Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd aims to empower young talents to cater to the needs of the economy, its chief executive officer, Johan Mahmood Merican said.
He said the Sector Focused Career Fair (SFCF) series had steered talents to exciting careers in key economic sectors with strong growth potentials.
Over 50 top local and foreign companies, including Celcom Axiata, Texas Instruments Malaysia, KFC (Peninsular Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and Prasarana Malaysia Bhd are taking part in the two-day fair at the TM Convention Centre here starting today.
"An important area of TalentCorp’s works is The Big Bang, which provides graduates with a variety of opportunities, options and the best tools possible to go after their dream jobs," Johan said in a statement in conjunction with the SFCF.
The SFCF Big Bang is a start to TalentCorp’s calendar of six SFCFs across Malaysia featuring key sectors such as engineering, information technology, business, banking and finance to raise career awareness and instill a better understanding of Malaysia’s key economic sectors.
Activities lined up at the SFCF Big Bang include walk-in-interviews for job seekers and those looking for internship, interviews and résumé advisory sessions.
Held mainly at university campuses throughout the country, SFCFs have gathered top companies and reached out to 25,000 young people, mostly students.
Admission to the fair is free. Further information on TalentCorp and the SFCF series can be obtained at www.talentcorp.com.my or www.facebook.com/SectorFocusedCareerFairSFCF.
