Terengganu to act on GST complaints reported via WhatsApp - Exco
The Terengganu state government was prepared to expedite feedback on consumer complaints on GST even if they were reported via WhatsApp.
To step up its monitoring of the prices of goods and issues relating the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the Terengganu government has made it easier for the people to send their complaints.
State Rural Development, Entrepreneurship, Cooperative and Consumerism, Roslee Daud said the state government with the cooperation of the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) was prepared to expedite feedback on consumer complaints even if they were reported via WhatsApp.
"This is a change by the state government to take complaints by the people seriously as we want KPDNKK to investigate complaints made via the application.
"The initial complaint despite being unofficial should be acted upon if it was found to be valid and the follow-up action would be carried out in accordance with the official procedures," he told reporters after launching Karnival @MyMasjid in Kerteh 5, Sunday.
