A&W (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd will open six new outlets in efforts to revamp its business nationwide.
"We are going to open six new branches in Penang, East Coast, Johor and Kuala Lumpur with a RM5 million investment.
"These new outlets are part of the company's expansion plans to face the stiff competition in the fast food industry.
"We are confident that A&W Malaysia would be able to compete with other major fast food players in the near future," its Chief Executive Officer Samad Mohd Shariff told reporters at the Umno general assembly 2014 here today.
On the closure of its Petaling Jaya drive-in outlet, he clarified that the outlet would relocate to a location nearby during the construction of two KUB towers there, next year
"The outlet will later move to the ground floor of one of the towers to be constructed by A&W Malaysia owner, KUB Malaysia Bhd, by the end of next year," he said.
